By using Collecte MTL you agree to these terms. It’s a free, independent service offered as-is, built on the City of Montréal’s open data.

What this service is

Collecte MTL is an independent project that presents the City of Montréal’s open data in a friendlier form. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Ville de Montréal.

No guarantee of accuracy

Collection schedules are extracted best-effort from the City’s notices, refreshed roughly monthly, and are not a live feed. Holiday shifts and one-off changes may not be reflected. The legal source of truth is by-law 16-049 and the City’s official channels. Verify important dates before relying on them.

Provided “as-is”

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. It may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service or reliance on its data — including, for example, a missed collection. Use it as a helpful guide, not a guarantee.

Acceptable use

Please don’t attempt to disrupt the service, place excessive automated load on it, or use it in a way that interferes with others’ use. The site and its API are intended for reasonable, good-faith use.

Open data and attribution

The underlying data comes from the City of Montréal’s open data, published under the CC-BY 4.0 licence.
